SHEEPS SORREL Rumex acetosella

Sheep's sorrel is very common. It often springs up on eroded peat between tussac pedestals, and on overgrazed land. In settlements it is common around hen runs. It can grow up to 30cm tall. By autumn it is brilliant red. Sorrel is an introduced plant. It is widespread across the Falkland Islands.
